The Chesterfield County Department of Mental Health Support Services is the single point of entry for public mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse services in Chesterfield County. The department is hiring a Senior Clinician on the Substance Use Disorders team to provide treatment in an outpatient setting to support and assist women with substance use disorders and their families. Perform other work as required.
What You Do and How You Do It:
Assist individuals with substance use disorders seeking services, which include: ongoing assessment of needs, individual and group therapy, and case management. You will also provide consultation to the general public and other community resources/agencies as needed. You will learn local, state and federal regulations, and stay up-to-date as things change. You'll help customers connect with community resources to receive the services they need.
Here's What You Need:
A master's degree in a human services field (i.e. psychology, social work, counseling) and must be licensed to practice psychotherapy in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT etc.). Knowledge of mental health disorders and substance abuse disorders is required. Experience working with women and children. Knowledge of trauma informed care.

This is a part time position, up to 24 hours weekly, with a hiring range of $26.46 - $31.14 per hour. The schedule is flexible but will require some evening availability.
Good driving record required. Must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation within the preceding thirty-six months. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
