Responsible for the planning, design and implementation of the Hickory Opioid Treatment Program under the guidance of the Director of Narcotic Treatment Programs. Responsibilities include supervision of counseling and administrative staff and ensuring federal, state, and local regulations are met in the delivery of services to clientele. In charge of site finances and oversees budget. Other duties assigned.
Essential Training, Knowledge, Abilities and Skill Required:
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with four years’ experience in the addiction field or Registered Nurse with four years' experience in the addiction field OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least four years of increasingly responsible professional experience and at least two years experience with the management and treatment of substance abuse. OR a master’s degree with three or more years of increasingly responsible professional experience and at least one years’ experience in the management and treatment of substance abuse.
McLeod Center is designed and managed for the sole purpose of providing an appropriate level of care for persons living in the Carolinas who are seeking education, intervention, treatment, or support related to their addictive disease. Abstinence from the use of mood altering substances will be the primary intent of all services provided.
McLeod Center offers methadone and buprenorphine treatment for opiate dependence in 9 outpatient treatment programs across Central and Western North Carolina, with locations in Boone, Charlotte, Concord, Gastonia, Hickory, Lenoir, Marion, Monroe, and Statesville.
McLeod Center was awarded the 2013 National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) Organizational Achievement Award for it's commitment and contribution to professional development in the field of addiction.
