The Ball State University Counseling Center is looking for YOU, an experienced psychologist, to join our growing, innovative and diverse team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed psychologist (licensure in Indiana a plus) with at least one year of experience working in a university counseling center or with young adults. Experience with testing/assessment or working with anxiety disorders, trauma or substance use disorders is desirable. Certification as a mental performance consultant (CMPC) or actively seeking certification is highly desirable. Interested parties should apply.

Position Function

Provide individual and group counseling; outreach/consultation services for Ball State University students; conduct supervision, training and perform administrative duties as assigned; serve on unit and university committees as appointed and assigned.

Minimum Education

A.B.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from both a program and internship that are A.P.A.-accredited; Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D. or similar degree must be completed within 6 months of employment.

Minimum Experience

Completion of A.P.A.-accredited internship.

Minimum Other

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Completed Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from a program and internship that is A.P.A. accredited.

Preferred Experience

More than 2 years working with university students or young adults (age 18-26) and experience working in a university counseling center. Experience with testing/assessment or working with anxiety disorders, trauma or substance use disorders is desireable. Certification as a mental performance consultant (CMPC) or actively seeking certification is highly desirable

Preferred Other

Licensed as a psychologist in Indiana.
