Did someone say work/life balance???

Bay State Primary Care Veterinary Clinic (BSPCVC)
is a newly proposed primary care veterinary resource coming to the Norfolk/Plymouth County area of Massachusetts, 20-30 minutes southwest of Boston.

We are seeking a seasoned lead veterinarian who wants to truly make a difference in the lives of all domestic pets. The ideal candidate has experienced many aspects of veterinary care, including; shelter and stray animal care and is ready to work hand and hand with owners and rescues to bridge the gap between full service veterinary care and no care at all. A genuine passion to help animals is a must. Your reward will be abundant, your hours manageable and your work environment will represent a shared commitment to the pets not the budget alone. Is this for you?

You will be responsible for preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses/injuries, expanding to; spay/neuter surgery, overseeing dental cleaning (performed by a qualified veterinary technician)and the diagnosis but not necessarily the management of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Your job will also entail educating clients and guiding veterinary technicians/assistants in developing strong client relationships.

You will have 2-3 veterinary professionals to assist you with your services throughout the day.

Partnership opportunity includes: direct input on policies and procedures, service offerings strategies, products and equipment, and a director role with an associated compensation. We invite you to inquire further.

Phase 1:
We are currently looking for candidates to work in our first Primary Care, Lower Cost, High Volume, Veterinary clinic in Massachusetts to be located in Norfolk or Plymouth County. We will be progressively increasing our volume in an effort to provide preventive care and diagnostic care to a large number of owned pets and shelter animals.

Phase 2:
We will add surgical and dental services. These services will be added as soon as the lead veterinarian and veterinary support staff is prepared. Additional staff will be hired accordingly.

If you do not think this Lead Veterinary position is for you we are also seeking part-time and back up veterinarian support..

Why you should work with Bay State Primary Care Clinic:

  • Full-time veterinarians will not work more than 42 hours per week.
  • There will be no on-call or after-hours care.
  • You will focus, though briefly, on one pet at a time because there will be no emergencies, major disease work ups and hospitalized patients to divide your time between.
  • You will have plenty of staff to support you throughout the day. You will initially be working as the only veterinarian in the practice.
  • We will strive to create a culture of openness, warmth, kindness, diversity, and compassion. Because of this, you will feel like you are working with your second family.
  • Salary will be based on your qualifications and the clinic's service offerings. Salary will increase as additional services are offered and when your additional skills are utilized.
  • Three weeks paid vacation time provided.
  • The opportunity to be a partner, which would include; a paid board position, policy input, decisions regarding clinic offerings, equipment and supplies is negotiable, but not required.

Requirements:
