BOROUGH MANAGER
ELIZABETH BOROUGH, Allegheny County (.41 sq. miles; population 1,493), 15 miles upstream on the Monongahela River from Pittsburgh, 7-member council/mayor; $1.1m GF budget, 3 FT/12 PT employees. Position requires a BA/BS Degree with emphasis in public administration/government or business. Applicants must have minimum of 2 years work experience in municipal government and/or transferable experience and skills in progressively responsible positions.
Qualified manager candidates should possess hands-on experience and ability in supervision and administration of borough operations including but not limited to financial and human resource management, public works, union contract negotiations, code enforcement, planning and zoning, community and economic development, parks and recreation, grant writing/administration and overall service delivery. Effective communications skills, proficiency in the use of office computer technology and demonstrated leadership working with council/mayor, employees, residents, civic groups, boards/commissions, and other governmental agencies is required.
