Borough Of River Edge (Bergen County)

• Under immediate or general supervision, the main duty will consist of recycling.
• Will also perform various types of manual, skilled and semi-skilled tasks involved in maintenance of public buildings, parks, grounds, roads and sewers including but not limited to chipping, landscaping, leaf/brush collection, shoveling, plowing, catch basin maintenance, road work, paving/patching, building & grounds maintenance, cleaning, and other related duties as assigned and as needed.

Candidate must be customer service oriented and be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs. Must be available for emergency overtime. Must have a Class B, air brake NJ driver’s license (CDL), and must be able to obtain a tanker endorsement within one year from date of hire. This is a 40 hour per week position with a starting salary of $45,905. Benefits are in accordance with NJ law. The successful candidate must undergo a background check.
