Security Officer

Capitol Security Solutions is a family-owned local company serving the greater Charleston,
WV area. We provide professional and dedicated security officers anchored to an assigned
property. This provides a more stable work environment and work schedule for our team
members. No more rotating to unfamiliar posts or having ever-changing work hours.  
We do things a bit differently at Capitol Security Solutions and work with you and
beside you to provide top quality security to our clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; report suspicious activities and document all suspicious activity;
• Inspects property via periodic and scheduled patrols
• Morning shift opens property doors and gates to allow employee entrance
• Evening shift secures property, locks all doors and gates
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property
• Provide customer service to our clients by following the established safety and security procedures
• Be familiar with site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be able to work independently and as a team
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or 5 years of verifiable work experience
• Applicants being considered for hire must be drug free.  As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Have access to reliable transportation to and from the work location
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
