Communications Specialist
The Catholic Diocese of Richmond, VA, is seeking a communications specialist. The position reports directly to the communications director and works closely with the director to develop content and materials for online, social media, and offers media and public relations support.
The communications specialist is a self-motivated, team player, with the ability to generate ideas, exercise good judgement and will write compelling content and edit for a wide range of digital and print communications, including but not limited to, the diocesan website, diocesan social media platforms, and supports media and public relations efforts. In addition, the successful candidate will publish press releases, statements, reports and letters for the Office of Communications.
The successful candidate must also have a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, English or related field. At least 2-3 years working in communications or related field is necessary.
Excellent written and oral communications skills with a strong attention to detail. Self-motivated with strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a proven track record of completing multiple projects under deadlines.
