The City of Richmond Commonwealth's Attorney Office has positions available for Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney. Responsibilities include the prosecution of criminal cases, including felony and misdemeanor offenses in the General District, Juvenile & Domestic Relations and Circuit Courts.
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of Virginia criminal law and procedure and familiarity with the criminal justice process. Position involves significant legal discretion and the opportunity to use alternatives to incarceration in the appropriate cases. Some work from home flexibility is available.
