The primary goal of this role is to advocate for the College, the Early College Access Programs and its students while facilitating the development of a comprehensive career counseling program in partnership with DEWD/WDB and Baltimore County Public Schools.

Bachelor's degree required in Education, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field and Master's Degree preferred. Experience in Admissions or Student Services working with diverse student populations is preferred. Two years experience working with high school students required.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

  1. Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, practices and the Early College Access Programs.
  2. Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations and students in the Early College Access Programs.
  3. Serve as an advocate for the College, the Early College Access Programs and its students.
  4. Represent the college at networking events, affinity groups, and business and industry associations.
  5. Serve as liaison between College departments, faculty and/or staff, as required.

  1. Provide outstanding service to students and other internal and external customers.
  2. Stay updated about the College, its structure, culture, policies, practices, and the ECAP programs.
  3. Act as a point of contact for both internal and external organizations, as well as students in the Early College Access Programs.
  4. Facilitate communications between College departments, faculty, and/or staff.
  5. Work with DEWD/WDB and BCPS to design, implement, and oversee a robust career counseling program.
  6. Collaborate with Career Services to offer career advisement, career programming, and career assessment tools to eligible BCPS students.
  7. Collaborate with Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning (DEWD), CCBC Human Resources and the Director of ECAP to support dual enrollment Junior Career Navigators, including their hiring, credentialing, and professional development.
  8. Collaborate with BCPS to establish and oversee performance metrics for dual enrollment Junior Career Navigators.
  9. Collaborate with Human Resources to establish standards and ensure all PT employees working with the BCPS students meet required standards and have undergone mandatory trainings.
  10. Maintain accurate records on recruitment, retention, and success efforts and assist the Director with the compilation of data related to the effectiveness of efforts and initiatives.
  11. Foster relationships with BCPS to guide students toward career development opportunities available at CCBC.
  12. Support the creation of content, coursework, surveys, and data collection tools.
  13. Engage students in career-oriented events, including career fairs and college visits.
  14. Develop virtual content for program-involved students.
  15. Collaborate with the Director of Early College Access Programs and Marketing and Communications to create and distribute informational content to students and parents
  16. Foster regular communication with students to facilitate their transition post-high school graduation.
  17. Collaborate on data sharing in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
