Adjunct Teacher Education faculty are needed to teach classes at the Community College of Baltimore County in pk-12 Special Education. Classes may include in-person during the day, remote synchronously in the evening, and 100% online through CCBC's learning management system.

Adjunct faculty are expected to prepare and deliver instruction, monitor student progress, cooperate with college support staff, and participate in required trainings and meetings. Adjunct Faculty are selected based on the needs of the program, applicant proficiency, course availability, and student enrollment.

Campus Locations: Essex, Dundalk & Catonsville

Pay Level 1 - $1,050 per credit hour
  • Master's degree in education-related field required. M.Ed. Special Education preferred.
  • Five (5) years of teaching experience in pk-12 special education setting required; college teaching experience preferred. Mentoring and/or coaching experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding special education procedures, policies and laws required.
  • Expert knowledge of developmental stages and best practices in special education evaluation, methods, and assessment required.
  • Proficient working with learning management systems required.
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge required
