Chesterfield County's Utilities Department is seeking an Automation Specialist. Primary responsibilities include being the initial point of contact for the department's help desk. Help desk responsibilities include communicating over the phone and electronically with staff, researching questions using available resources; logging all help desk interactions; redirecting problems to the correct resources; identifying and escalating situations requiring urgent attention, and informing management of recurring problems. Provide Tier 1 level helpdesk support. Security administrator over Customer and Billing System, maintain inventory of broadband, cell phone and desk phone, maintain computer and software inventory system using BMC platform.

Successful candidate will possess an associate's degree in Information Systems or related field; two years of experience in technical support or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience with BMC Footprints ticketing system and inventory system a plus. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
