Chesterfield County's Information Systems Technology Department is seeking an IT Network Manager to manage a group of five network staff and a Voice Services Supervisor over the County's phone system. Manage and maintain billing of WAN circuits, hardware maintenance, and cellular modems. Manage firewalls, Web filter, IPS, network security monitoring. Manage large network and construction projects. Manage IP addressing for network. Manage redundant Internet pipes. Manages firewalls for Internet connectivity and internal network segmentation. Maintain VOIP and QOS for phone and video traffic. Maintain VPN infrastructure. Maintain software versions levels for all network hardware. Maintain campus fiber and building wiring. Network monitoring and alerting. Maintain network diagrams, wiring diagrams and other appropriate documentation. Work with CISO and security group on maintaining a secure network. Support AZURE connectivity along with VNETS and firewalls in AZURE environment. Maintain vendor relationships with Internet providers, hardware vendors, cell carriers, etc. Maintain refresh cycle, and budget cost for it, for all network related. Provide on-call emergency support for assigned areas of responsibility outside of normal business hours. Perform other work as required.

Successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, management information systems, business/public administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education; five to ten years of experience in managing a corporate network with three or more years managing network engineering staff; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in network design (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN). Good problem-solving skills. Good project management skills to manage multiple high-profile projects at one time.
Current valid driver's license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview.
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.
