Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Office nurse West End pediatric and adult allergy practice.
Part-time/PRN position.
General: Delivery of patient care in a small office environment, including intake and testing procedures for which training is provided. Office experience preferred. No EMR (Electronic Medical Record). Basic computer skills necessary. Scheduling flexibility important. Comfortable, collegial work environment for caring, compassionate team player.
Responsibilities:
Initial orientation includes thorough training in all procedures. General clinical duties include patient check-in of adult and pediatric patients, requiring accurate assessment of status in a consistent and efficient manner. Primary laboratory procedures include lung function testing and allergy skin testing. Administration of therapies including careful administration of allergy injections. Patient education and instructions appropriate to the level of understanding/concern of the patient or of the patient's parent/guardian; i.e., professional nursing care for the physical and mental comfort and well-being of our patients. Requires complete, legible documentation of provided care, teaching and assessment. Includes telephone triage, prescription refills, prior authorizations and follow-up in initiating and returning telephone calls. Must be able to work PRN (Tuesday through Thursday) and regularly Monday and half day Friday (morning).
