Administrative Director, FirstHealth Security
The Administrative Director of Security is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring a strategic, comprehensive enterprise security operations plan across FirstHealth of the Carolinas. The Administrative Director of Security provides the leadership necessary to manage the enterprise-wide security program and ensures business alignment and integrity supporting the security of staff, patients, family members and guests.
The Administrative Director of Security is responsible for establishing and managing the enterprise security programs to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately implemented and operated to effectively secure the safety of FirstHealth. The Administrative Director directs staff in identifying, developing, implementing, maintaining and operationalizing processes and technologies across the enterprise to ensure all staff, patients, family members and guests are safe at all times. This role is also responsible for developing and executing an annual plan, to include regular system-wide assessments intended to drive strategies and operational campus plans supporting situational awareness, collaboration, deliver meaningful services, and create unity and consensus on what efforts are important to more effectively address security across the diverse complex environment of communities served by FirstHealth.
The Administrative Director of Security is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic and employee related activities for enterprise security. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring and operationalizing the human resources to meet campus/facility/community program goals and objectives, while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives for FirstHealth. While the range of leadership duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the position's major responsibility is ensuring the safety and security of staff, patients, family members and guests requiring directing of tactics and operations of FirstHealth's security program. The Administrative Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders, coordinating the activities of security across the enterprise and FirstHealth communities.
BA/BS in a relevant discipline required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a director-level or comparable leadership role in a security or public safety department, with strong preference given to those with experience in a healthcare setting. CHPA (Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator) or CHSS (Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor) Certification required. Must have experience in leading multiple individual work units (patrol, dispatch, support and administrative groups) in accomplishing goals and objectives in an efficient and comprehensive manner. Demonstrated ability to provide vision, motivation, direction, effective communication, and exemplary leadership to a team of individuals to accomplish the mission required. Must have demonstrated knowledge of legislative mandates, practices, policies and procedures impacting safety and security in a healthcare system. Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
