Direct Support Professionals
Grafton Integrated Health Network employs individuals committed to helping vulnerable and high-risk populations lead better, more independent lives. We are always looking for Direct Support Professionals who are passionate about working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families. These are challenging, yet rewarding positions.
Direct Support Professionals work in a number of settings including Community-based Group Homes, Special Education Classrooms, Day Programs, and Vocational Programs (job skill training and job placement). They participate in the direct care and management of clients as prescribed by physician and treatment teams. They provide supervision, safety and crisis management for the client population; complete documentation of client behavior and participation in programming; adhere to the schedule activities; role model positive, mature behavior; utilize proactive behavioral strategies to minimize client crisis and maximize success.
Required experience for Direct Support Professionals in the Adult Services Program:
A high school graduate or have a G.E.D; must be 21 years of age; must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen; must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; 3 months experience working with adults in a volunteer or paid capacity preferred.
Required experience for Direct Support Professionals in the Student Services Program:
A Bachelor’s degree in human services; or an Associate’s degree and 3 months experience working with children; or be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. and 6 months experience working with children; must be 21 years of age; must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen; must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
