Essential Job Functions
  • Outlines, plans and conducts investigations in a timely, thorough and professional manner in response to reports of unlawful discrimination, harassment and retaliation
  • Conducts interviews with various stakeholders and documents interviews through comprehensive, written investigative reports
  • Reviews relevant information and evidence gathered throughout investigations and recommends action based on investigative findings
  • Communicates appropriately with various stakeholders in a clear and concise manner both written and verbal
  • Coordinates Live Hearing process for Title IX investigations as directed
  • Assists with developing and maintaining Title IX policies and procedures
  • Provides periodic status updates to the Title IX coordinator and assists with preventing systemic problems
  • Creates and conducts Title IX and prohibited discrimination and harassment trainings and outreach
  • Collaborates with campus partners to coordinate and implement prevention and educational programming
  • Assists with implementing interim and supportive measures for students, staff and faculty members as required under VAWA/Title IX
  • Maintains records of complaints, investigations and outcomes, and maintains database of reports related to prohibited discrimination and harassment and complaints based on protected classes
  • Maintains current knowledge of Title IX and other federal and state civil rights laws and regulations, and creates procedures to maintain compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a master's degree
  • Moderate amount of experience working in investigations, student conduct, equal employment opportunity (EEO) or human resources in higher education, or other related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Juris doctorate
  • Prior experience in mediations
