Requirements:
- Current Class A CDL & Medical Card
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- 2 years of OTR experience
- Tarping & load securement required
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulates drug and alcohol testing for CDL truck drivers. The policy is intended to keep drivers sober and safe on the job.
Testing requirements
- Pre-employment: All applicants for safety-sensitive jobs must pass a DOT drug test before starting work
- Random: Drivers may be randomly selected for drug and alcohol testing
- Reasonable suspicion: Drivers may be tested if there is a reasonable suspicion of drug or alcohol use
- Return-to-duty: Drivers who test positive or refuse a test must complete a return-to-duty process
