Job Duties

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, follow-up to completion, and evaluation. S/He ensures that the Center successfully delivers programs and activities while meeting strategic goals and contractual obligations and meeting the funders' and sponsors' goals and expectations. The individual will work with other Center staff to prepare and present reports, offer services to stakeholders.

The Project Coordinator will promote and encourage the continued support of the Center. S/He will work to ensure effective coordination between the Center's team, faculty researchers, and students to ensure full and sustained participation in the Center's programs and activities.

The Project Coordinator will work with the Center's team to develop programs to ensure the greatest impact for all our stakeholders.

The Project Coordinator will have to be proactive, a team player, flexible, and willing to work in the constantly changing environment of a growing research university. S/He should have the ability to support and enthuse others and maintain a professional image, and have the willingness and ability to travel to stakeholder sites. This is a state-funded position with an attractive 42% fringe benefitpackage.

Main responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and expand the Center's networking contact list
  • Build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop a master schedule using project management institute's standards to manage and control all projects successfully
  • Coordinate, and manage stakeholder meetings in consultation with the Center Director
  • Manage contracts and service-level agreements with partner organizations
  • Manage the operation and delivery of projects focusing on maximizing the coordination of the components to meet the participants' and funders' needs and expectations
  • Identify and implement solutions to underperforming projects
  • Plan and manage events for outreach activities
  • Plan and coordinate workshops, conferences, webinars, and other events the Center organizes and sponsors
  • Attend meetings, seminars and conferences, present on behalf of the Center,
  • Provide regular progress reports on the implementation and delivery of programs
  • Manage the budget for programs and procuring goods and services in line with the Center's financial policies and procedures and the Director's approval
  • Produce high-quality written reports for Center's activities
  • Analyze information on participants and program outcomes, feeding this data into stakeholder reports and business planning
  • Work with colleagues to improve processes and procedure and develop programs to increase the impact of the DASGR Center on the people we support, particularly marginalized communities
  • Coordinate with other centers, agencies, organizations and arrange referrals
  • Work closely with stakeholders and seek feedback and identify good practices and ensure they are regularly reviewed and adopted as needed
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the job title as determined by the Center's Director
  • Undertake training and professional development to improve the quality of the Center's processes, deliverables, and overall outcomes
  • Manage The Center's social media accounts
  • Update The Center's website accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned
Requested Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required. Candidates near degree completion (18 or fewer college credits remaining) may be considered.
A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Demonstrable excellent skills in MS Excel, Word, MS PowerPoint, and Access, Tableau
  • Demonstrable exceptional ability in written and oral communication with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of and /or willingness to learn cloud-based productivity software to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Center's processes and results
  • Experience building and developing partnerships and relationships, including effectively networking and supporting multi-partner programs
  • Demonstrated project planning and quality assurance, monitoring, and reporting ability
  • Ability and willingness to work in-person, on-campus and possess a general understanding of a data-driven office
  • Ability to deliver presentations and represent the Center at internal and external stakeholder convenings
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines to meet and deliver expected results
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams
  • A general understanding of the academic environment and workflow
  • Ability and willingness to work in the evenings and weekends as needed
Other Preferences for Consideration
  • Strong preference will be given to those with a completed B.S. degree, especially in an analytical or quantitively-oriented discipline
  • Project management degree or certificate
  • Agile or Scrum Master certificate. Functional knowledge of Tableau
  • MS Office Certificate
  • Functional knowledge of CRM tools
