General Definition of Work: Performs experienced work maintaining and organizing automated parts and various inventory systems. Limited supervision is exercised over the office staff. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Assistant Director/Director of Transportation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures relating to the acquisition and disposal of inventory and supplies; automated inventory control system procedures, storeroom, warehouse and purchasing procedures pertinent to automotive service; knowledge of OSHA Rules and Regulations pertaining to hazmat programs; County purchasing policies and procedures relating to the acquisition and disposal of automotive parts and accessories.
Education and Experience: Less than a high school education and minimal experience working with children, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements: Valid driver's licenses in the Commonwealth of Virginia; Willing to obtain a, or possesses a Commercial Driver's License strongly preferred with Class B, P, and S Endorsements to include Air Brakes Skill Test; and zero or plus points on driving record; or the ability to obtain a CDL with proper endorsements and CPR certification within six months of employment.
