Work Schedule
Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekends.
General Description: The Dual Enrollment Coordinator will work within their assigned territory to build a robust dual enrollment program. The coordinator will establish relationships with high school and community groups as well as the academic and student service divisions at NOVA.
Duties and Tasks:
- Serves as a community resource and will conduct presentations to educate internal and external stakeholders on the benefits of dual enrollment.
- Responsible for upholding VCCS policy and NACEP accreditation standards within their assigned territory.
- Works with new and current DE Instructors from the initial credentialing to annual training and maintain positive relationships to ensure a genuine college experience is delivered.
- Works with high school students and manage the application and enrollment process as well as assist with their transition to NOVA.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

- Ability to develop and initiate partnerships and programs;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at one time and provide leadership where required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work with people at all levels within an organization;
- Comfortable working within SIS, and with Microsoft office software.
- Knowledge of college admissions policy and procedures;
- Knowledge of high school and college curricular offerings;
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills and willingness to do whatever is needed to serve our high school stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and collaborative skills, and effective interpersonal, oral/written communication skills.
- Strong verbal and written skills;
- Works independently and able to resolve problems with minimal intervention.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Previous experience in a student facing position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in education or counseling
- Previous experience in high school or college environments
- Experience advising students at the high school or college level
