This position’s primary responsibility is to provide support for the faculty and students who teach and learn in the department’s academic programs. To provide program administrative and fiscal support for the all programs in the department. This includes, but is not limited to responding to faculty and student needs, supervising work study students, maintaining appropriate data bases to assure the smooth functioning of the office, and providing fiscal support to the department.
 
 
Required Qualifications:
 
Extensive knowledge of general office procedures. Considerable knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Working knowledge of information systems and computer software used to prepare correspondence, manipulate data, and create reports. Exceptional interpersonal, time management, organizational skills. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty and other University personnel. Good knowledge of state financial policies including payroll, procurement, accounts payable and cash management.  Ability to assume budget responsibilities and reporting requirements.
 
Considerable experience in an administrative support role.
 
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, licensure, certification:
 
Demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others. Experience with Banner. Experience providing administrative support in an academic environment.
 
Conditions of Employment:
 
This is an on campus position requires the ability to be punctual and professional at regular 8:00am-5:00pm business hours.
