ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (00688A) 
 
This position coordinates the identifying and allocation of resources and operations of the school. This position is responsible for the management and posting of budget lines while providing all necessary fiscal support. This position is the sole administrative assistant to the programs reporting directly to the Chair of the department.
 
Required Qualifications: 
 
Working knowledge of budget management. Working knowledge of office practices and procedures. Working knowledge of client server systems (e.g. Banner, PeopleSoft, Citrine, etc.). Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping, principles and practices. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to implement and document new methods and procedures. 
 
Some experience with accounting and data management. Some experience using Microsoft Office Suite to record, track, report data and produce a variety of documents. Some experience with records management.
 
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification):
 
Working knowledge of the eVA purchasing system. Ability to edit/modify web pages. Ability to manage the Graduate Admissions document system (BDMS) for both Masters and PhD students. Completion of the University Finance Certificate Course or equivalent training in budget management. Prior experience working with classroom scheduling and budget preparation/management. Experience with Banner. Experience in a higher education setting.
