Office Manager (00050A)

To provide department and program administrative support to the department chair and program directors for all clerical/administrative activities related to office management and operations.

Required Qualifications:

Considerable knowledge of standard office software to include Microsoft Office Suite. Considerable Knowledge of administrative policies and procedures. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated proofreading skills. Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments in a timely fashion while multi-tasking. Demonstrated ability to perform in a professional manner in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to research materials including previous practices and data and to organize these into a professional report. Effective problem-solving skills including the ability to deal with the public and maintain a professional demeanor. Considerable administrative experience with emphasis upon independent actions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Some college education and/or work experience in or comprehensive training in computer utilization of spreadsheet, database, and word processing software or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some experience working in a higher education environment. Supervisory experience. Some experience as an office manager.

Conditions of Employment:
