Job Description

To serve as a VA certifying official by reviewing claims for VA benefits, primarily for Post-911 GI Bill recipients, and by submitting certifications/verifications through the Enrollment Manager portal on a regular basis, both pre- and post-registration. To assist students with questions related to VA benefits, in-person, over the phone, and via email. To monitor the University's VA Work-Study program.

Level and type of experience

Considerable experience in providing customer service.
Basic experience in being attentive to detail, to include auditing records, performing basic mathematical calculations, and problem solving.

Basic experience prioritizing work from multiple sources using time management skills and making decisions independently.
Basic experience with Microsoft Excel.

Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)

Considerable experience in providing customer service to veterans and military-affiliated persons.
Basic experience with Enrollment Manager and other veteran websites.
Some experience with Banner or similar student information or records system.
Some experience querying data.

Some experience working with military-affiliated persons.
Possess Department of Veteran's Affairs School Certifying Official Training

Conditions of Employment

This is an on-campus position and not eligible for remote work.

Annual Salary/Hourly Rate

Salary is commensurate with education and experience and begins at $ - 33,500
