Position Title: Admissions - Administrative Program Assistant
Salary: $3,022 - $3,279 per month
Location: Klamath Falls
The Admissions Department at the Klamath Falls Campus of Oregon Tech is accepting applications for the role of Administrative Program Assistant Provide administrative support within the Admissions Office to include updating prospective student records and documents for application of admission, international student communications and application processing, event planning assistance, reception for campus visitors, and data management responsibilities. This position requires knowledge of the Student Information System (SIS), Customer Relation Management (CRM) tool, and document imaging processing functions. The position must maintain knowledge of SEVIS processes as they apply to international students attending Oregon Tech and will keep abreast of federal laws and regulations regarding international students through SEVIS, ICE, and the Department of Homeland Security. Must maintain knowledge of FERPA rules. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dynamic, fast-paced office environment, embrace change, and enthusiastically support new strategies that bring in the most qualified, diverse class of students year after year.
Department Information: The Office of Admissions mission is to clearly and effectively communicate the features and benefits of the university to prospective students and their families. The Office provides appropriate admissions services, such as recruitment activities and application processing, to assist the university community in enrolling the number and type of students needed to meet the institution’s enrollment goals. Our goal is to promote access via clear communication of Oregon Tech’s admissions standards, provide admissions support for all of our campuses and sites, and support the University’s pursuit of excellence by admitting new students who are capable of persisting successfully to their academic objective at Oregon Tech.
Additional Requirements: Demonstrated ability to use sound judgement. Ability to interpret policies and apply rules and regulations governing processes and procedures. Ability to effectively and respectfully work, communicate, and collaborate in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as databases and specialized programs. Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects and activities in a professional and timely manner. Oriented and committed to quality through continuous process improvement. Some evenings and weekends may be required beyond the standard forty hour work week.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 1 or more years’ experience in higher education, student services, or enrollment unit. Experience using Banner, Etrieve or other document imaging tool, and transcript transmission services. Experience with queries, reporting, and CRMs. Ability to exhibit personal integrity, honesty, zeal, and compassion. Experience contributing actively and participating fully in team initiatives. Willingness to support changes in the work environment. Demonstrated ability to display a proactive, problem-solving approach toward work.
