At Paterson Community Health Center (PCHC) our mission is to provide quality and respectful health care to the greater Paterson community, especially to the uninsured and underinsured. Paterson is the third largest city in New Jersey. PCHC operates two health centers that provide primary medical care and dental care in Paterson’s most needy communities. PCHC serves the low-income (under 200% of poverty) and uninsured residents of Paterson and offers the sliding fee discount program. Through the years, we have remained committed in our mission and tradition of providing care in a compassionate manner, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. Services are provided to all patients in a sensitive and culturally appropriate manner. Uninsured patients are welcome and outreach efforts are designed to reach patients most in need of comprehensive and accessible medical care.

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner

Key Information:

35 Hours per week (Full-time).

Reporting to the Medical Director, this individual will be responsible for providing evidence-based Primary Care to our patients. This individual is an integral of the collaborative care team which includes nursing staff and other services.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Family Nurse Practitioner NJ License to deliver medical care and at least two (2) year of post-graduate/residency experience delivering care in a Pediatric setting.

Board of Directors

While the Paterson Community Health Center, Inc., is a privately owned, 501(03, non-profit organization, it receives significant funding from the Federal Government and thus is designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). As an FQHC organization the health center is requested to ensure that the majority of the health center’s Board of Directors are health center patients. The health center’s Board is (representative) of the health center patients and the Paterson, NJ community. By race and ethnicity, the board members are African-American, White, Latino and Middle Eastern. The board members bring to the health center a wealth of knowledge and experience in the fields of law, public safety, business, finance, health care and social services.
