• Mental Health Nurse, RN (Medication Assisted Treatment) – Fredericksburg
Required Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of the principles, standards, practices and techniques related to psychiatric and general nursing; considerable knowledge of pharmacology and the administration of psychotropic medication; considerable knowledge of Board of Pharmacy and Board of Nursing regulations relating to prescription drug storage, administration and documentation; considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques related to individual and group therapy practices for those with behavioral health disorders; considerable knowledge of substance use disorders, communicable and other infectious diseases, and the psychological/physical effects of detoxification and withdrawal; considerable knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment; considerable knowledge of community treatment providers and other agencies; ability to establish and maintain rapport with the individual population; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency clinicians and staff of other private and public organizations; ability to function calmly in stressful situations; ability to conduct effective interviews, observe, assess and record individual behaviors and functioning and develop treatment plans.
Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and some professional experience in psychiatric nursing serving individuals with behavioral health disorders. State Certified Registered Nurse. Valid Virginia Driver's License; current First Aid and CPR certification
• Mental Health Nurse, RN/LPN-(PACT) – Fredericksburg
Required Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of the principles, standards and practices related to psychiatric nursing; thorough knowledge of the theories and practices related to the care and treatment of adults with serious and persistent mental illness and individuals with co-occurring MH/SA disorders, including behavior management, independent living skills training, supportive counseling, family education, crisis intervention, discharge planning and service coordination; knowledge of nursing practices, pharmacology and the physiological and psychological effects of alcohol and drug use and withdrawal; Knowledge of the Board of Pharmacy and Board of Nursing regulations related to prescription drug storage, administration and documentation; knowledge of community resources, including service providers and entitlement eligibility criteria; effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; skill in interviewing, observing recording and reporting on participants' functioning; ability to maintain documentation and use the agency's electronic health record; ability to work independently.
Licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse and at least one year of experience working with persons with serious mental illness and/or substance abuse.
Valid VA Driver's License.
• Mental Health Nurse, RN/LPN – Crisis Stabilization
Required Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of the principals, standards, practices and techniques of professional nursing.
Thorough knowledge related to the management of medical detoxification and the management of the individual with mental illness in crisis.
Thorough knowledge of the dangers inherent in and the precautions to be taken in the use of all medications.
Thorough knowledge of the treatment, diagnostic, immunization, and related medical services for psychiatrically medically ill patients.
Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to nursing services.
Ability to accurately maintain client medical records and prepare reports.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, supervisors, directors, medical personnel, community partners, vendors, associates and the general public.
Valid Virginia Nursing license (RN/LPN).
Valid Virginia Driver's License.
• ICF Nurse, LPN – Fredericksburg
Required Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of the principles, standards, practices and techniques related to general nursing; considerable knowledge of Board of Pharmacy and Board of Nursing regulations relating to prescription drug storage, administration and documentation; considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of instruction, support, and behavior management for persons with intellectual disabilities; some knowledge of common housekeeping practices; some knowledge of communicable and other infectious diseases, ability to establish and maintain rapport with the individual population; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency clinicians and staff of other private and public organizations; ability to function calmly in stressful situations; ability to operate a vehicle; ability to observe, assess and record individual behaviors and functioning.
State Certified Licensed Practical Nurse.
Valid Virginia Driver's License.
