Therapist, Psychiatrists
RACSB is recruiting for the following positions:
• Psychiatrists – PACT & MAT
• Juvenile Drug Treatment Court –Therapist
Preferred Qualifications: LCSW or LPC license preferred.
Required Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents who are victim of substance abusive behaviors and/or are substance abusive and their families including counseling practices, techniques and multiple treatment modalities; thorough knowledge of the theories and principles of child and adolescent psychology, physical and intellectual development; thorough knowledge of substance use disorders as they relate to trauma victims and their families; thorough knowledge of the principles of family and group dynamics; thorough knowledge of the service and treatment providers, other agencies and community organizations providing services to the individual population; considerable knowledge of individual management guidelines for Virginia; considerable knowledge of social casework management, including need assessment and supportive level counseling; ability to complete assessments, provide individual, group, and family therapy; ability to establish and maintain rapport with the individual population; ability to conduct effective interviews, observe, assess and record individual behaviors and functioning and develop treatment and service plans; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff of other private and public agencies and organizations; ability to confidently provide expert testimony in both oral and written formats; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to operate a vehicle; ability to function calmly in stressful situations; ability to prepare and maintain detailed records and prepare related reports. Master's Degree in the Behavioral Sciences and some clinical work experience in direct substance abuse therapy to the child and adolescent population. VA license as LCSW, LPC or LCP, or license-eligible. Valid VA driver's license.

• Mental Health Nurse, RN/LPN – PACT, MAT, Crisis Stabilization
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience working with psychiatric and substance abuse disorder patients. Knowledge and experience with psychotropic medication and ability to work well with professionals from other disciplines in a team approach.
Required Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of the principals, standards, practices and techniques of professional nursing.
- Thorough knowledge related to the management of medical detoxification and the management of the individual with mental illness in crisis.
- Thorough knowledge of the dangers inherent in and the precautions to be taken in the use of all medications.
- Thorough knowledge of the treatment, diagnostic, immunization, and related medical services for psychiatrically medically ill patients.
- Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to nursing services.
- Ability to accurately maintain client medical records and prepare reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, supervisors, directors, medical personnel, community partners, vendors, associates and the general public.
- Valid Virginia Nursing license (RN/LPN).
- Valid Virginia Driver's License.
