DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL AID
Randolph-Macon College invites applications for the Director of Financial Aid. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment and Vice President of Administration and Finance, the qualified candidate for this full time, 12-month position will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and administration of all student financial aid as well as the operation of the Financial Aid Office and supervision of all affiliated staff. The Director will work to assist the College in both operational areas and in planning associated with financial leveraging models used in packaging undergraduate students; be expected to work closely with institutional colleagues to meet enrollment and retention goals; be an effective collaborator, working with partners across campus to develop and implement policies regarding the awarding of institutional aid in a manner that supports and promotes new student enrollment, retention and student-centered financial service to current students of the College; and work closely with the College’s Financial Aid Consultant to help determine the optimal financial aid model for the College.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field and five years of comparable work experience, including previous accounting, financial aid and customer service experience required; Demonstrated success in roles of increasing responsibility within a Financial Aid office; In-depth knowledge of best practices and regulations governing federal financial aid programs; Experience with billing/accounts receivable activities; and ability to provide overall direction and analysis for financial aid data, including the Financial Aid information technology systems and programs. Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with multiple constituencies, particularly students and prospective students and their families.
