Program Support Specialist - Rentals
- GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs work of moderate difficulty in assisting internal and external customers with rental, birthday party, and special event requests, information and transactions. Administers all aspects of rental agreements. Performs related work and other duties as assigned.
- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Communicates directly with the public, both verbally and written, regarding rental services offered.
•Delivers excellent customer service in person and via telephone.
•Informs facility staff of when rentals, birthday parties, and special events are occurring and provides staff with updated product and service information regarding rentals.
•Handles cash, checks, and credit card transactions for rentals, birthday parties, and special events.
•Performs related administrative work including data entry, rental usage tracking, and record keeping.
•Performs room scheduling, room set-ups, supply inventory and ordering, along with other clerical responsibilities.
•Assists with overseeing the revenue and expense budget for facility rentals.
•Assists in the evaluation of rental staff training needs and providing necessary trainings.- REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
Education:
Required: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Preferred: Associates degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
Required: One or more years of customer service experience
Preferred: Three or more years of customer service experience. Sales experience.
License/Certification:
Required: Valid Virginia driver’s license with good driving record. CPR/FA/AED
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
•Strong ability to communicate with the public, both written and verbally.
•Good knowledge of office terminology, procedures, and technology.
•Ability to follow verbal and written direction and work procedures.
•Ability to take initiative and follow through to completion.
•Skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer software.- OTHER INFORMATION
