Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Records and Reports, the Records Associate is responsible for assisting with academic record maintenance, education verification, report generation, and graduation processing.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Maintains academic records
  • Coordinates End of Semester processing (grade reporting, academic standing calculation, etc.)
  • Generates reports from student information and reporting systems and analyzes results to determine action needed
  • Complies with education verification requests
Service Excellence
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision

Works under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Records and Reports

*Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or 60 college hours and one (1) year's working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least one (1) year's working experience with Access for report data manipulation
  • Working experience in higher education records maintenance
  • Working experience with Ellucian Colleague student record maintenance
  • Working experience with workflow forms within the Laserfiche Imaging software
  • Working experience interacting with external transcript partners
  • Working experience providing customer service to college students regarding their academic record
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
  • Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
