Job description
The Noble Academy, Inc. is hiring for experienced Teachers at our childcare center. We need Teachers for our Infant & Toddler, Floater/Van Driver, Floater/Cook, and Office Assistant. Must have at least 1+ years of experience in a childcare facility to be considered for the Teacher Aid position and 2+ years for Lead Teacher position.
Working hours needed:
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a 1-hour break (Monday – Friday)
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a 2-hour break (Monday - Friday)
Pay per hour:
- The pay range is between $13.00 to $16.00 per hour without benefits for Lead Teachers and $12.00 to $13.00 for Teacher Aid.
- The pay range is between $12.00 to $16.00 per hour without benefits for Floater/Cook, Floater/Van Driver, and Office Assistant.* PAY RATE IS BASED OFF OF YEARS OF EXPIERIENCE WORKING IN A CHILD CARE CENTER, FLEXABILITY, AND VERIFIABLE TRANING HOURS.* All teachers working with ages 0 to 5 (non-school age) years old receive up to $2500 annually from the PDG Grant in addition to hourly pay. Must work with 0 to 5 age group 30 hours a week or more.
Job Description:
The Lead Teacher must have 24 clock hours of training related to the care of children within 1 month after hire or promotion. Daily tasks consist of being able to create a developmentally appropriate program for children, create weekly lesson plans, engage in classroom activity with children, maintain cleanliness of classroom daily, ensure the safety of all children in our program, and closely follow licensing regulations related to childcare. Individuals with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or working towards one is preferred. However, this is not a requirement we will accept someone with documented experience.
The Floater/Van Driver position must have 24 clock hours of training related to the care of children within 1 month after hire or promotion to be considered a Lead. If the person applying for this position wishes to be an assistant, you must have 16 hours of annual training hours 1 month after hire or promotion. For this position we prefer someone who has experience driving a 15-passenger van with young children (must have a good driving record with no major violations). This position could be a Full or Part-Time position. If you are applying for only part-time, we would need you for 4 hours a day Monday-Friday (2hrs am and 2hrs pm). Additional hours are available if the person we hire is flexible and desires Full Time hours. If the person for this position desires Full Time hours, this person must be comfortable working with any age group. You must also be willing to work at any compacity needed rather it is cleaning, cooking, and assisting with children.
The Floater/Cook must have at least 16 hours of annual training hours 1 month after hire or promotion. For this position the person will spend half of day in the classrooms assisting teachers and half of day performing kitchen duties. Main duties will consist of cooking, assisting teachers, and cleanliness of the building. We are looking for someone who has at least 1 year experience working in a childcare facility. This person also may serve as a backup driver if needed (Must be able to drive 15-passenger van). The hours needed for this position is 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The person for this job must be willing to work additional hours if needed.
The Teacher Assistant must have 16 hours of annual ongoing training hours 1 month after hire or promotion. Daily tasks consist of being able to Assist the Lead teacher with creating a developmentally appropriate program for children, create weekly lesson plans, engage in classroom activity with children, maintain cleanliness of classroom daily, ensure the safety of all children in our program, and closely follow licensing regulations related to childcare.
The Office Manager/Assistant reports to Executive Director & Assistant Director. The person for this position must have 24 hours of annual training hours 1 month after hire or promotion. The primary purpose/function for this position will be to provide clerical services for The Noble Academy, Inc. Work under general supervision and handle confidential information and frequent contact with and outside agencies, and the general public. The person for this position will also serve has back for classroom teachers in case of absence. The person for this position must be willing to work in any compacity needed. The qualification for this job is a high school diploma or GED. We would prefer someone who has a Two-year college degree but this is not mandatory.
Special Knowledge/Skills for Office Manager/Assistant:
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, perform word processing
- Proficient skills in typing, word processing, and file maintenance
- Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Calm and patient demeanor
Experience for Office Manager/Assistant:
Two or more years advanced secretarial/clerical experience with extensive contact with people
The Board may find appropriate and acceptable alternatives to the above qualifications.
For all positions you must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Child Protective Services Background Check, and a Skin Tuberculosis test. Furthermore, for these positions it is required that the teacher must complete 13 hours of online training upon being hired. This training must be completed before you are able to start work (on site paid training). Reliable transportation is necessary, and you must truly desire to work with children in a childcare setting.
