The Virginia Economic Development Partnership is seeking a Business Coordinator to provide professional services to the Business Investment team to successfully locate economic development projects in Virginia and expand existing businesses in the Commonwealth.

The Business Coordinator will provide administrative support and project assistance to the Business Investment division. The position will support the development and implementation of VEDP’s comprehensive lead generation strategy. The successful applicant will support business managers with preparing for lead generation activities, developing target lists, managing Salesforce campaigns, data research and client outreach to set appointments. The position will support the team in developing promotional materials, travel logistics, and expense reports. The Business Coordinator will support the Business Investment team members in preparing for prospect visits and assist with preparing documentation and communications. The position will utilize Salesforce to manage lead generation campaigns, opportunity records, and client contact and follow-up.
The successful applicant must have excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. The Business Coordinator must be able to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines, effectively prioritize tasks, work collaboratively to accomplish goals, and make decisions based on logical analysis and sound judgment. Demonstrated proficiency in using multiple software packages required, with MSO in a Windows environment experience preferred. Contact management software experience desirable. The Business Coordinator must have a valid driver’s license. An undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communications or related field or equivalent training and experience is preferred.
