SUPPLY CHAIN PROGRAM SPECIALIST
Supply Chain Program Specialist
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Supply Chain Program Specialist to assist with program outreach and provide administrative support to Virginia businesses wishing to optimize their supply chain management processes through Virginia’s Supply Chain Optimization Program. This position will report to and support the Supply Chain Program Manager.
This position is part of VEDP’s International Trade division, which is recognized as the leading state international trade development program in the U.S. VEDP’s International Trade division provides a range of resources such as customized market research, international business meetings, and grant programs to assist Virginia businesses with growing their international sales.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment of Virginia companies annually and facilitate participation in the Program and/or resource offerings
- Coordinate administrative activities to include tracking participating businesses, collecting and maintaining documentation, and generating reports
- Review and approve reimbursement requests from program participants
- Provide administrative support for in-person or virtual training initiatives
- Research, identify, and coordinate program outreach opportunities, including developing content for social media posts and marketing materials
- Organize logistics for the Supply Chain Program Manager to participate in speaking events and trade shows to promote the program
- Create customized PowerPoint presentations for program outreach initiatives
- Assist with producing educational webinars to help recruit program participants and train Virginia businesses on supply chain optimization topics
Skills:
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Superior skills in building relationships with colleagues and external clients
- Sharp organizational abilities and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- High proficiency with multiple software packages, including Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of supply chain topics, trade practices, and awareness of geography, foreign customs, and cultures
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM software is preferred
- Work effectively within a team environment
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, International Affairs, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Academic or professional experience in the field of marketing, supply chain management, or international business is preferred
- Demonstrated experience with professional social media or marketing content generation and promotion-based outreach
- Experience with client management
- Experience managing deadline-oriented projects and/or programs
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Must have a passport or the ability to obtain one

Salary Minimum: $62,000.
