Job Description Summary:
Function as a staff physician in the Department of Neurology. Duties at KU will involve assisting in the neurology clinics, hospital rounds, teaching medical students and neurology residents, and fellows.

Job Description:

Job Duties
  • See patients in the outpatient neurology neuromuscular clinic.
  • On occasion, cover the academic teaching service in the inpatient hospital unit.
  • Supervise neurology residents and fellows. This will include supervision of residents in the hospital wards, and in the neurology clinic.
  • Teach medical students on the wards and in clinic, and provide occasional lectures to medical students.
  • Pursue scholarly activity in the areas of neuromuscular medicine disease.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent to an MD. Completion of neurology residency training required. Eligible for Kansas medical license. Background check required.

Preferred Qualifications
Good written and oral communication skills. Completion of a neuromuscular medicine fellowship training preferred.
