Job Description

This IT position is primarily focused on supporting the computing needs for faculty and staff in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR).The diversity of tasks and people in CAFNR will keep you engaged making each day full, rewarding and enjoyable.Primary job duties include:

· Install and configure Windows & Macintosh computer systems and associated peripherals.

· Help faculty and staff get connected to the campus network via VPN from off-campus and wireless or wired connections on-campus.

· Troubleshoot technology remotely and in-person, including issues with usernames, passwords, MFA, networking, email, software, and hardware.

· Setup and support desktop computers, projectors and peripherals in labs, classrooms, and faculty/staff offices as required.

· Research, quote, and deploy new hardware and software purchases.

· Maintain computer inventory.

· Manage service requests via ticketing system.

· Assist with virus/malware remediation.

· Collaborate with coworkers and supervisor on device solutions and policy compliance.

Because of the nature of this position, it is primarily located on the Mizzou campus in Columbia, MO. We try to be flexible and occasional remote work arrangements can be discussed as needed. Although rare, there may be some travel to in-state offsite CAFNR research centers.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma required.
One year experience supporting computer device hardware, software and operating systems.
Microsoft Windows, Macintosh and MS Office support experience.
Strong in-person and remote customer service skills.
Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
Valid driver license.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, computer management systems such as Microsoft Configuration Manager and JAMF, Active Directory, and Group Policy would be desirable.

Individuals who are good communicators, proactive, detail-oriented, deadline conscious and can manage multiple responsibilities.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $14.51 - $25.27 Commensurate with experience
