The mission of the Registrar's Office is to provide accurate and professional registration and records services to ensure the integrity of official student records while enforcing academic policies. The Registrar's Office works behind the scenes to make sure the student experience is the best it can be. Our office oversees registration, maintains student records, award degrees, manages transfer credit, reserves rooms for various activities on campus, and works with the advisors for student success.

UMKC is a large research university in the heart of Kansas City. We serve over 15,000 students, with over 125 academic programs, from undergraduate through professional programs, with new programs added to the catalog every year.

Job Description:

Responsibilities will include making course updates in Pathway, working with the academic units on creating a course schedule for each semester, room scheduling for courses and events in academic spaces, and assisting with software updates in both AdAstra and CourseLeaf CLSS-WEN.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Recommend changes in the Pathway System to improve business processes. Responsible for system testing when Pathway updates and PUMs are available.

· Review and process course and enrollment edits to ensure data integrity.

· Coordinate the process for creating and submitting semester course schedules, including instructing and advising support staff on relevant methods and procedures in CourseLeaf CLSS-WEN.

· Coordinate with the UMKC Catalog Editor to ensure all coursework updates approved in CourseLeaf are accurately entered into Pathway.

· Coordinate with various offices across campus to schedule meetings and events in centrally scheduled academic spaces.

· Maximize the academic spaces on campus by assigning classrooms each semester using AdAstra.

· Provide professional staff support and training to college, school or departmental committees and related faculty committees as needed.

· Work with students and/or academic units to determine best resolution to issues that may arise.

· Monitor the Registrar scheduling email

· Provide general Registrar's Office support by assisting with the Registrar's Office phone queue.

· Maintain accuracy, confidentiality and security of student files in alignment with FERPA regulations.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PeopleSoft, Ad Astra, and CourseLeaf (CLSS). Desired candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, as well as trouble-shooting skills. Good communication skills – both written and oral.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$18.50 - $21.83 per hour commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.
