Institutional Equity Manager



The Institutional Equity Manager in the Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEDI) oversees the university's Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity programs and compliance, ensuring adherence to all regulations and University policies and procedures. This position will:

  • Implement affirmative action plans and initiatives to ensure equal employment opportunities for underrepresented populations and track progress to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and provide training, workshops and educational programs to raise awareness about diversity, inclusion, and implicit bias to advance equity that promotes a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with various University departments, administrators, and stakeholders to promote diversity and inclusion initiatives and training.
  • Provide guidance, consultation, or recommendations to senior leadership on policy development, recruitment practices, and diversity-related initiatives to increase diversity and inclusion across the university and regional campuses.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to university hiring strategies and practice that align with full cycle recruitment and retention plan and the inclusive hiring guide.
  • Work in collaboration with Civil Rights/Title IX to develop culture plans and DEI training to address bias reporting as a option to non-policy violation investigations.

Job Summary

Oversees the university's Affirmative Action (AA) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs and compliance, ensuring adherence to all regulations and University policies and procedures. Develops, implements, and continuously evaluates the University's complaint resolution process and AA/EEO training and education programs. Implements policies and strategic plans related to AA, EEO, and diversity at the University.



Essential Functions

In addition to the functions listed above, the Institutional Equity Manager will remain current on all local, state, and federal AA and EEO regulations and reporting requirements; and set goals, monitor progress, and implement strategies to increase diversity and inclusion across the university and regional campuses.


Physical Effort

Duties are primarily sedentary. Must be able to use a computer at a desk or similar workstation, and travel to on-campus meetings as needed.
