Med-Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (23004728)

A Postdoctoral Associate position in Pain and Reward Circuit Research is available immediately in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.

Qualified candidates with a Ph.D. in neuroscience, neurobiology, or related fields will join a dynamic team of investigators to study neural circuits that control pain, analgesia, and drug-seeking behaviors.

Knowledge and prior working experiences in excitatory and inhibitory receptors, in vivo animal experiments (including simple surgical preparations), animal behavior evaluations, and/or immunohistochemistry are preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong aptitude for collaborative research in an academic environment are expected.
