Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated UI/UX Designer with at least 5 years of experience in crafting intuitive user interfaces and exceptional user experiences for both web and mobile platforms. This mid-level role calls for a strategic thinker who embodies our core values of personal responsibility, quality, collaboration, adaptability, and technical prowess. As a crucial member of our small digital team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping interactive digital experiences for cannabis consumers, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external users to elevate the digital face of Verano and our family of brands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the UI/UX design of diverse digital platforms, focusing on creating seamless and engaging user experiences for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate closely with the brand and digital teams within a Scrum framework to translate business requirements into intuitive and visually compelling designs that reflect Verano’s brand identities and strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to develop components that promote various marketing initiatives, maintaining brand consistency and alignment with brand guidelines. 
  • Develop and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively convey design concepts and improve user interactions.
  • Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions and gathering feedback for iteration and improvement. 
  • Manage and enhance multiple design systems within Figma, serving as the in-house expert, and contributing to team members' proficiency in the tool.
  • Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends and technologies, continuously driving innovations and process improvements.
  • Drive the UX process autonomously, presenting design solutions effectively to gather stakeholder feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with in-house graphic designers and other departments to ensure cohesive designs across all touchpoints, from digital platforms to marketing materials. 
  • Drive the UX process as the sole design architect on projects, encompassing big-picture thinking, user flow development, and information architecture. 
  • Design with a focus on ADA compliance, ensuring all digital interfaces are accessible and inclusive.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of UI/UX design experience, focusing on e-commerce and digital marketing.
  • A robust portfolio that showcases deep engagement with digital design projects, including successful e-commerce platforms, educational content, and marketing websites.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Bonus: familiarity with Tailwind CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, including visual hierarchy and information architecture with a focus on accessibility.
  • Strong prototyping skills and experience in managing large design systems within Figma.
  • Exceptional collaboration and effective communication skills, essential for a team-oriented environment
