Job Summary

Under direct supervision, this position will be responsible for supporting Principal Investigator(s), clinical research coordinators, and other more senior members of a clinical study team with administrative, regulatory, and data management tasks as assigned. Key tasks may include: case-finding, evaluation and abstraction of source documentation, case report form completion, database use and management (including our institutional CTMS), data abstraction and organization for presentation/publications. Responsible for subject data management and maintaining source documents and subject files according to Good Clinical Practice. May assist with preparing and shipping medical samples/specimens to/from appropriate labs, providing administrative support to study activation processes and regulatory maintenance of assigned studies.

The CDM Floater will be dedicated to the Massey Clinical Trials Office. The CDM Floater works closely with the Assistant Director of Clinical Research Operations and Workforce Development to support continuing data entry clean up and compliance for all studies across disease working groups. The CDM Floater will also function as a Patient Pre-Screener to assist teams in identifying potential study candidates.

Job Description

• Responsible for the collection, entry and management of data for multiple projects from multiple sponsor

• Engage with study teams and investigators to update, verify, reconcile data

• Focus on data cleanup as a result of data backlog

• Assist research teams with data entry/corrections in preparation for audits and monitoring visits, as needed

• Work with the Deep 6 Clinical Research Nurse Analyst to help identify potential patients

• Inform study teams of Deep 6 identified potential patients to approach at next appointment

• Assist in study lab kit organization and upkeep

• Assist in updating and correcting the staff assignments in OnCore at the patient level “on study” tab

• Proficiency with MS Excel and Word

• Accurate data entry, word processing, analytical thinking skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team.

• Excellent organizational and analytic skills, with the proven ability to multi-task, trouble shoot and prioritize work

• Strong attention to detail

• Effective professional written and oral communications skills (i.e. ability to communication with others in a clear and professional manner)

• Strong interpersonal skills (i.e. ability to work with personnel at all levels to gather information and communicate compliance requirements)

• Ability to learn new programs and electronic information systems

• Other job duties as assigned

Minimal Qualifications Education

BA/BS degree or degree equivalency with 6 years of experience

Certification/License

ACRP/SOCRA (or equivalent) certification preferred.

Experience

2 years minimum experience in the healthcare or clinical research industry, 4 years preferred. Desired: proficient experience with OnCore CTMS, or any other Clinical Trials Management Systems.

Physical Requirements

Able to perform moderate lifting. Able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Able to read papers and online documents. Able to operate standard office equipment. Able to exercise physical ability and perspective acuity to satisfactorily perform essential job functions.

Salary Range: $44,000 - $75,000
