VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Compliance Office during the 2023-24 academic year.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Reviewing countable athletically related activities records and analyzing data using ARMS and NCAA Compliance Assistant software;
• Monitoring countable athletically related activities and voluntary activities;
• Maintaining student-athlete files and insuring that all required NCAA and A-10 documentation are up to date;
• Researching NCAA rules and regulations;
• Assisting with interpretive issues of NCAA rules and regulations;
• Assisting with auditing of various compliance areas as assigned;
• Assisting in researching and compiling materials for Coaches' rules education sessions;
• Utilizing Compliance Assistant software (CAi) to input student-athlete and team data; and
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

• Admittance into a VCU graduate program; and
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a graduate assistant at VCU.

Preferred:
• Knowledge and experience with NCAA Division I rules and regulations;
• Highly organized, and detail oriented;
• Professional writing skills; and
• Exceptional verbal communication and people skills.
