Position Responsibilities:
VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Track & Field/Cross Country programs. Assisting the Head Coach with practices, meets, and overall quality of the track and field/cross country program.
Detailed Duties:
- Follow up on class work and grades with student-athletes;
- Coach event(s) group(s) at practice and competitions;
- Assist with practice/practice preparation;
- Assist with meets/meet preparation;
- Assist with equipment preparation/inventory; and
- Operate a 15-passenger vehicle.
- Required valid U.S. driver's license and must have in possession while driving;
- Must complete training for driving 15-passenger vehicle;
- Bachelor's degree;
- Admittance into VCU Center for Sports Leadership (CSL) graduate program; and
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do as a graduate assistant at VCU
We ask that graduate students limit their applications to three (3) graduate assistant positions of interest.
Applicants must be admitted to VCU's Center for Sports Leadership (CSL) graduate program to be eligible for this position.

An applicant who is admitted to VCU's Center for Sports Leadership (CSL) will receive funding from both CSL and the VCU Athletics Department if they are the selected finalist.
There is one (1) open position within Track & Field/Cross Country.
