General Laborer

The Borough of West Mayfield is seeking applicants for a general laborer, 40 hours per week, no benefits, up to $18 per hour. Valid PA driver’s license required.

Job Description for Laborer Position

1. Ability to operate 1-ton dump, 2500 lb. dump and pick-up trucks. Must have valid PA driver’s license.
2. Plowing, hauling and leaf pick-up
3. Maintaining, cleaning, repairing and replacing catch basins and grates, making sure storm drains are open and flowing
4. Mowing, trimming grass and maintaining playground equipment at the park
5. Trimming trees and keeping the berms of the roads clear and free of weeds
6. Patching roads
7. General clean-up of the garage area, offices and council chambers. Keeping tool room neat.
8. Cleaning trucks inside and out.
9. Building and grounds maintenance – mowing grass, cleaning gutters, keeping outside yard area in order.
10. Any other duties as assigned by council or supervisor.
11. Salary up to $18.00 per hour, no benefits
