POSITION AVAILABLE: Wyoming Child & Family Development, Inc. – Wyoming Child and Family Development is now scheduling interviews for a Technology Specialist to service our Centers within the 9 counties services are provided, Campbell, Converse, Crook, Goshen, Laramie, Natrona, Niobrara, Platte, Weston Counties. The reporting location is flexible.  A company vehicle is provided for company travel. This position is 40 hours a week 238 days a base hourly rate of $21.36.   We offer a full benefits package, no weekends, most major holidays off as well as an extended winter holiday break. Job Summary:

To assist the Systems Administrator and management team with technology needs for use, training, implementation, troubleshooting, network maintenance, user account and license management. Supports staff training and use of technology.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION WILL MEET THE HEAD START PROGRAM PERFORMANCE STANDARDS, DFS LICENSING, NAEYC STANDARDS, WYOMING DIVISION OF DISABILITIES RULES AND REGULATIONS, AND WCFD POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. ALL EMPLOYEES WILL ADHERE TO THE MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES OF WCFD, INCLUDING PROGRAM GUIDANCE CONTAINED IN THE MASTER MANUAL

  • Assist Systems Administrator with network maintenance including device onboarding/offboarding and software updates.

  • Helps with the creation and management of user accounts and licenses.

  • Helps provide training and assistance to staff regarding all facets of program technology, including computers, tablets, scanners, phone systems, copiers, etc.

  • Helps with tracking and inventory for technology items.

  • Safeguards the security, integrity, and confidentiality of WCFD data, information and communications.

  • Provides technical support for users through ticketing system.

  • Troubleshoots device/software problems.

  • Helps with the implementation of new systems through the distribution of guidance materials and provision of training support as needed.

  • Provides remote support and onsite support with travel to centers throughout the service area.

  • Ability to work flexible schedule and weekends as needed including responding to emergencies.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, staff, company officials and vendors.

  • Recruits children for the program within the guidelines established by Department of Health and Human Services and Wyoming Child and Family Development.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc. requires all prospective employees to participate in a Central Registry and criminal background check, including fingerprinting, upon hire and every 5 years.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record and liability insurance as required by Wyoming State Law. Driving records are reviewed annually.

  • Wyoming Child and Family Development requires an initial statement of health from a licensed healthcare provider and a health status annual assessment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have computer skills including set-up, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintenance, repair, networking, software installation, and security functions.

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, database management and SharePoint administration.

  • Must be able to meet timelines and be able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Must be reliable, organized, and detail oriented.

  • Must have interpersonal skills to be able to meet the public and work with program staff, and communication skills to develop and present effective training programs.

Education and Experience:

  • Prefer an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Science or Computer Information Systems or degree/certification/experience in related field. WCFD will only accept college degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

  • Must be able to assist a child to safety in case of an emergency.

  • Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures, including hot and cold weather.

Transportation staff must:

  • Able to tolerate possible exposure to biohazards, i.e., body fluids, etc.

  • Ability to recognize mechanical problems that would require stopping of bus to prevent damage or potential accident while driving.

  • Able to read gauges on dash of bus and recognize indicator of problems.

  • Able to tolerate possible gas and diesel fumes.

  • Able to tolerate dust and gravel.
